Evrard de Turckheim’s work focuses primarily on the management of various forest properties. For more than 30 years, he has been experimenting with close-to-nature silviculture methods. In the Dambach forest — formerly owned by the De Dietrich Forges — he successfully harnesses natural forest dynamics to optimize financial productivity while taking into account the many other functions of this exceptional estate, located in the heart of the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park.

He intervenes only with a light touch: harvesting mature trees, favoring future crop trees, thinning natural regeneration, and enriching stands where natural renewal is delayed. This approach helps maintain biodiversity, protect soil, air, and water quality, while producing an ever-increasing volume of high-quality timber.

Evrard de Turckheim is also President of the association Pro Silva France and representative of Groupe Dambach, which is FSC-certified.
