    References

Since its creation in 2005, Forêt Patrimoine has supported more than 320 forest transactions ranging from 30 to over 4,000 hectares. This represents a total area of more than 65,000 hectares of forests, with a combined value of €590 million.

We take great care in finding the forest that best meets our clients’ expectations — whether they are private individuals, forest groups, or institutional investors — all motivated by the desire to invest in this living heritage.

As a mark of our expertise in commercial real estate, Forêt Patrimoine became the first agency in France specializing in forest sales to obtain the “Regulated by RICS” certification in 2020.

This professional organization provides our clients with the assurance of our reliability, high level of expertise, open-mindedness, and integrity. Founded in 1868, RICS now has 118,000 members worldwide.

    Approach

As the real estate division of the Comité des Forêts, we work in close collaboration with on-the-ground professionals such as forest experts. We are in daily contact with key players in the French forestry sector — from landowners to industry professionals including timber merchants, forest managers, and rangers.

We also rely on the expertise of wealth management professionals such as tax lawyers, notaries, private bankers, and family offices.

This diversity of perspectives places us at the heart of a network of informants and potential buyers and sellers interested in forest transactions.

Not all of our listings are published online — some are widely shared, while others are marketed more discreetly.

Our sales strategy is supported by targeted communication tools: print advertising, web campaigns, digital partnerships, and segmented newsletters sent to our database of more than 10,000 qualified contacts.

    Price Assessment

Before any commitment on your part, we prepare a valuation report at our own expense, which serves as the basis for your decision-making. When marketing a forest, this assessment can be supplemented with a detailed tree-by-tree inventory.

Our deep knowledge of the land and forest management enables us to accurately determine a forest’s value and support negotiations with solid technical arguments and profitability calculations.

As key players in the forest real estate market, we go beyond the purely technical appraisal to provide insight into local market trends and specific characteristics.

    Search and Marketing Mandate

Forêt Patrimoine is continuously commissioned by institutional and private investors seeking forests of 50 hectares or more.

As soon as a buyer search mandate (or “sales mandate”) is signed, we implement a tailored marketing strategy that aligns with your expectations — from strict confidentiality to broad promotion.

We have effective distribution tools to identify the right buyer, notably through our widely circulated newsletter reaching more than 10,000 forest enthusiasts.

Our marketing process is fully adapted to your requirements.

Not all of our listings are published online — some are shared very broadly, while others are marketed more discreetly. Feel free to contact us to discuss your aspirations.

    More than 500 hectares ?

Forêt Patrimoine specializes in transactions involving properties of over 500 hectares — deals that require hands-on knowledge of the land, in-depth expertise in the forest market, and a sharp sense of negotiation.

We are fully equipped to support and manage these often complex transactions, which may involve inventories, account analysis, human resources management, ongoing works, and the preparation of well-supported valuations.

We also assist potential buyers in the context of tenders by preparing comprehensive valuation reports.

The experts of the Comité des Forêts, present throughout France, play a key role in providing analysis and advice, carrying out appraisals at our request. By consulting them, we arrive at a price that is both aligned with market trends and grounded in the reality of the land — ensuring a smooth and balanced transaction.
